Most manufacturers sell systematically addressing more than five or eight weight rods in nine feet long any other. There is a reason. If you are fishing for anything but the largest game fish, the rods almost take action for you, depending on the conditions and type of fish for which you are fishing. If you are something like the spotted trout fishing in a bay like environment where the sea is relatively calm, five weight rod will work quite well. If you are fishing on grass flats or areas where the sailing conditions are much more wind, eight weight provide the substance that needs for such conditions. However, if you can only choose a rod, you may want to consider mounting a "salt-6" New manufacturers have made great weight six bars that have special hardware for saltwater fishing. With the fight against the cylinder heads and special hardware, a salt of six is a great option.
When it comes to fishing reels saltwater, it is important to note that they need not be fancy or sophisticated, but because salt is very corrosive, must be of appropriate materials, such as corrosion resistant parts that are easy to clean with constant washing and care. As a general rule, if you can choose only a coil, if you choose a single action reel andonized which has a disk drive, and can carry in the neighborhood of one hundred feet back, you should be happy with their choice.
